John 1:5 NIV
Pakistan is the second largest Muslim nation in the world. Currently, we are working in a very unreached region. Those who convert to Christianity in this region may face persecution. Despite the opposition from the Muslim majority many are turning to Christ in the outlying villages.
Christians are oppressed socio-economically by the Muslim government and often only find employment in unwanted jobs as laborers. If fortunate, some are factory workers but there are those who become indebted to their oppressors serving as human slaves for about $3 a day in brickmaking communities. A church has been planted in such a community called "The Kiln".
Many Christian women in Pakistan are forced to work as servants in Muslim households in order to provide for their families. Most who work in this capacity are forced to renounce Christianity and become Muslim like their employers. Our vision is to provide other options of employment for women who turn to Christ by offering classes in sewing or weaving.
Weekly outdoor services and Bible studies are held in several locations and at The Kiln. PGM is discipling new converts to serve the house churches and evangelize their communities. Our current project is to raise money to purchase land for the first church building, school and offices near brickmaking communities and the unreached villages. See the Contact Us page to make a donation.
Men and women are provided theological education and training in the field through Biblical studies and mentoring provided by PGM. PGM provides financial support for leaders to travel and receive supplemental ministry training through missions programs, educational conferences and short-term mission trips.
PGM Leaders support educational programs in a small local Christian school and summer Bible camps for children. Children are provided meals and Christmas gifts. Discipleship classes are offered for the youth.
